The inmate G28 was prisoner serving his time in Kingston Penitentiary. He has been shot in 1907 by prison guard when he (along with Peader Regan and two other inmates) tried to escape the prison.

At Kingston Penitentiary, when the inmate G28 tries to hand over matches to Peader Regan, yet former Chief Constable Percival Giles pushes into the man's back, resulting the matches falls on the ground. Regan picks them up and warns Giles to watch where he is going. Giles asks what they are up to. Regan warns the copper to get out or they will shut his mouth. A guard reprimands Regan for talking, Giles attempts to warn the guards, yet Regan tells Giles that the guard said to be quiet and pushes him into other inmates. This result into prison brawl. While inmate G28 is involved in the fight with another inmate H401. While the guards fight the prisoners and Giles warns Dr. Julia Ogden and Detective Willian Murdoch about Regan having the matches, Regan eventually uses the matches to set his book (that carries explosive) into a fire, resulting in explosion that breaks the wall.

Eventually, the inmate G28, Regan and two other inmates runs out, followed by Detective William Murdoch and Deputy Warden Brian Kelleher with another guard. But being missinformed about guards movement by inmate Bridget Mulcahy (who knew about the escape and wanted them shot), they runs into the guards. Not listening their orders to stop, the inmate G28 is shot, resulting in Regan and others two inmates stop and surrender.
